Our Facility

Gracie Technics Beaverton has partnered and joined with one of the most established martial arts schools in the Portland area.

Eastside & Westside Locations

Choi's Taekwondo Academy is one of the most respected martial arts schools in the area and has been serving the Portland metro community for many years.  In fact, it is one of the oldest Taekwondo organizations in Oregon. Both locations have lots of mat space, bathrooms and parking space for your convenience.

We take pride in maintaining a clean, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Our staff is available to assist you for your convenience and believe you will enjoy our family environment.

What To Expect

Jumping on the mat and not knowing or having prior martial arts experience can be intimidating. Our instructors at Gracie Technics understand the effort it takes to walk into something new and want to ensure you that we will make your class safe and easy for you to understand. Safety is our #1 priority and never allow new students to get into any sparring situation until they have adjusted to our classes and gained enough experience.

Why Gracie Technics?

Gracie Technics offers a proven Jiu-Jitsu curriculum developed by Master Pedro Sauer. Having an easy to follow and structured curriculum is critical in the development for each student. Our head instructors are certified brown belts under Professor Rylan Lizares (black belt under Master Pedro Sauer and founder of Gracie Technics).

Since Jiu-Jitsu is a "lineage-based" martial art, we believe it is important to be promoted under a strong lineage. Below is a small chart of how Gracie Technics follows a lineage from Grandmaster Helio Gracie.

Mitsuyo Maeda  >  Helio Gracie > Rickson Gracie  > Pedro Sauer  >  Rylan Lizares

As a Pedro Sauer sub-affiliate, you will be joining in a network of over 80+ schools under the Pedro Sauer BJJ Association. In the Pacific NW alone, we have 3 locations in Oregon and Washington. Professor Rylan Lizares also comes up periodically to provide Jiu-Jitsu seminars and classes. Being a part of a huge association offers many benefits, ensuring each student a proper path for their Jiu-Jitsu journey and allowing you to be certified and ranked accordingly.
